Senior Site Superintendent

Our client is a reputable General Contractor in Surrey, BC, specializing in high-quality commercial construction projects across sectors like financial institutions, restaurants, offices, and retail spaces. With a strong track record and commitment to client satisfaction, they are expanding and seeking a skilled Senior Site Superintendent. This leadership role involves overseeing commercial projects across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale projects (> $10M), ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality, safe standards. Responsibilities:

1. Project Accounting:

  • Enter time/expenses and manage budgets in Procore with the PM to prevent overruns. Coordinate monthly progress draws based on work completion.

2. Scheduling:

  • Project Schedule: Develop and update schedules with the PM.
  • Trade & Manpower: Coordinate schedules with trades, suppliers, and site staff.
  • Track and update schedules and weekly progress in Procore. Oversee material deliveries, inspections, and site attendance.

3. Project Start-Up:

  • Pre-Start: Review documents, estimating details, and prepare RFIs and Rules of Engagement.

4. Project Closeout:

  • As-Built & Commissioning: Document plan changes, prepare final as-builts, and coordinate commissioning, while delivering quality work on time and gather client feedback.

5. Meetings & Reporting:

  • Maintain daily logs and issue weekly updates and document all progress meetings.

6. Drawings & Scope Management:

  • Document Review: Identify conflicts and risks, prepare RFIs.
  • Scope Coordination: Ensure foremen are clear on trade work expectations.

7. Change Management:

  • Track and notify PM of scope changes, assist with T&M and contract pricing.

8. Quality Control:

  • Monitor trade work quality, track observations in Procore, and prepare punch lists.

9. Site Logistics:

  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized site and manage material movement and deliveries. Coordinate with landlords, tenants, and external parties.

10. Tools & Equipment:

  • Oversee and maintain rental and owned tools and equipment.

11. Safety:

  • Enforce all safety and fire safty protocols, conduct site inspections, and toolbox meetings. Conducting site inspections and completion of reports and corrective actions.Shape

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of prior experience managing large projects (>10M+), preferrable in a senior level role.
  • Strong understanding of the overall construction process, sequencing, and best practices.
